Heritage Trail Sponsorship

This is where we say a very BIG thank you to all those businesses and individuals who have sponsored one of our Heritage Trails. Through generous sponsoring we can generate a regular income which we use to look after the Woodhams Stone Collection. We ask for £60 or £45 a month to sponsor the Malton or Norton trails respectively. Use our email address at the bottom of this page to contact us if this interests you. And if you are taking the trails please support the local businesses that have sponsored them.

Linton Pet Shop (59 Market Place) - We're very pleased to support the Malton Heritage Trail as it relaunches in this new format. The town has a rich local heritage with many old buildings and stories to match. Exploring this trail is an easy way to learn about Malton's history and much more. Visit us at Linton Pet Shop - Malton's dog friendly pet shop. You'll find us in the Market Place. (Sponsors of: Malton Trail - October 2023)

Our Whitewall Quarry has supplied Aggregates and Building products to the people of Malton & Norton for nearly 100 years. W Clifford Watts are proud to have worked with the local economies, including agriculture, horse racing, commercial, the construction industry and private customers. We wish to support the Woodhams Stone Collection in its efforts to promote and educate. We believe the networks of trade and community are as important today as they were in the past. The trails will hopefully help people realise a sense of place, and understand that in an increasingly globalised world, local economies are worth preserving. We’re proud to sponsor the Malton Heritage Trail and hope that locals and visitors enjoy it and discover fascinating facts about the town’s heritage! We have been a part of the local business scene for 13 years now. Our building has been around for a lot longer and once housed the Malton Dispensary - an institution where anyone who could not afford to see a doctor could get free medical care. The Patisserie has evolved into a firm local favourite for delicious coffees, teas, bakes, breakfast and lunches. The team continues to grow the business and remain as passionate about patisserie as ever, looking for new ideas, new flavours and menu additions for customers to enjoy. Do pay us a visit, we’re on Saville Street! (Sponsors of: Malton Trail - February 2024)

Please Donate

The Woodhams Stone Collection is entirely run by volunteers and is housed in the Malton & Norton Heritage Centre. A donation however small would help towards our running costs and the purchase of archive quality materials required to store and preserve the Collection for future generations. If you should decide to donate via the PayPal button neither you nor Woodhams Stone Collection will be charged a fee for this donation.

At the end of the transaction you will be asked if you wish the payment to be made as part of the GiftAid scheme. If you are a UK taxpayer and able to do this it means that Woodhams Stone Collection can benefit by an additional 25% of your donation.
